It's been said many times... "Love what you do and you’ll never work a day in your life."

I worked many years in a finance career that I liked but I was ready to stop “working” and do what I love. From surprising my parents with newly rearranged furniture when they returned home from work to styling my husband’s new office, decorating has been in my blood since birth.

I grew up in Spanaway, WA as an Air Force brat. I obtained my degree in accounting from Washington State University (where I had the best decorated room in the dorm) and started my accounting and finance career in Seattle. This is where I met my beautiful husband Geoff, a small-town boy from Ohio. He was stationed in Seattle as a member of the US Coast Guard. What? I swore I would never marry a military man. Darn him for being so cute in that uniform.

While stationed in Michigan a few years later we found the greatest joy we have in life with the births of our sons Isaac (2005) and Nathan (2006). We eventually moved back to Seattle where Geoff retired from the Coast Guard in 2015.

Wenatchee called. We had visited family many times in Wenatchee and knew we needed to settle down here. We love the valley and I often use its beauty to inspire many of my designs.

When I’m not working I’m usually found cooking, watching HGTV or remodeling some room in my house. However most of our time is spent watching Isaac and Nathan play basketball (my favorite, go zags!).

My Design Philosophy

I’m fascinated by houses of all shapes, sizes, and styles but old Victorians and craftsmen with lots of built-ins gets my imagination flowing. I’ve owned ranch style, traditional and split-level homes each with their own style and personality.  My philosophy on decorating for a home/business owner is to start with what you love, add a pinch of inspiration from nature, a couple drops of color then stir and watch the beautiful transformation. Staging is not much different except we start with what the target buyer loves and watch the home transform into a quickly sold (for a lot of money) home.

The HSR Certification program was the first and is one of the only Accredited staging training by the Real Estate Staging Association (RESA) who is the governing body for the home staging industry.
